  • Pelvic pain
  • Mild pelvic pressure
  • Constipation
  • A backache
  • Leg cramps and pain

What is Hysteroscopic Resection of Fibroids?

Hysteroscopic resection of fibroids is a procedure used to remove strips of fibroid under direct vision. A low voltage electrical current is passed through the wire loop electrode to remove the fibroids present in the uterine wall. At the end of the wire, a telescope is attached for a better vision.

Hysteroscopic resection is used best for submucosal fibroids. Through a trans-cervical approach, submucous fibroids of less than 4cm in size (away from the outer border of the uterus) can be resected easily and safely.
