It is very important for women to pay attention to their reproductive health. Let’s start with thanking the combination of good bacteria residing in the vagina and delicately poised pH levels for maintaining the optimum health of our reproductive system. But these factors are not enough at times to maintain the healthiness of the vagina and the reproductive system.
A study done by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists showed that about 85% of women in their reproductive phase experiences at least one Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) symptom each month. About 3-4 % of women in that experiences severe problems like excruciating pain, uncomfortable cramping, heavy flow, etc. that can be disabling at times. On such condition is endometriosis.
A regular monthly cycle indicates a healthy reproductive system in women. That is why missing periods can be worrying. When you miss your periods, there can be multiple things crossing your mind like: Is this normal? When is this normal? What causes irregular periods? When should I be seeing a doctor?
A condition that usually shows its signs just before menstruation, Premenstrual Syndrome or PMS affects a woman’s emotions, behavior and physical health on certain days around her cycle. It is a very common condition; more than 90% of women are affected by its symptoms, but its cause remainsunknow.
