Key Responsibilities:

Adheres to the surgical safety checklist for all surgeries.
Transports and shifts patients post-surgery to the recovery area and reports any abnormal findings.
Assists and accompanies the anesthetist during pain management procedures and follow-ups.
Administers care to patients with a female nurse in attendance at all times.
Assists in the LDR during epidural procedures.
Washes instruments after surgery.
Takes an active role in establishing and maintaining effective communication with the operating team.
Tracks the inventory of medications used in the OT.
Assists in maintaining equipment and stocks related to anesthesia; reorders supplies when required to ensure optimum stock levels are always maintained.
Ensures that medical gas levels are maintained at appropriate levels at all times.
Checks all equipment and gas lines for serviceability before any procedure.
Ensures the legal policy for storage and checking of drugs and narcotics is strictly adhered to.
Ensures documentation is complete, accurate, and legible, and understands its relevance.
Ensures the safe keeping of records and data protection.
