Women’s fertility naturally declines with age, although natural conception is still possible depending on overall health and reproductive factors. Women are most fertile in their 20s, and fertility gradually decreases in the 30s, with a more significant decline after 35 due to reduced egg quality and quantity. By age 40, the chance of natural conception drops to around 5% per cycle, but pregnancy can still occur in some cases. Regular health check-ups, healthy lifestyle, and timely medical guidance improve fertility outcomes. Dr Dhivya Chandrasekar, Consultant at Motherhood Hospital sarjapur, advises early fertility assessment and proper planning to improve the chances of natural conception and ensure better reproductive health outcomes.
