Estimated Fertility Dates
The estimated fertility date brackets refer to the most fertile days in your menstrual cycle which gives the highest chance of conceiving. The most fertile days in a women’s cycle are when the egg is released from the ovary. Post evolution, the egg survives for only 24 hours and the sperm retains the fertilizing capability for two to three days. Hence doctors recommend that couples have sexual intercourse every two days throughout the fertile window.
Estimated Conception Date
Take a calculated estimate of your conception date to plan your baby accordingly. The generic formula to arrive at this calculation is by adding 266 days (38 weeks) to your ovulation and fertilization date or 280 days to the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP).
The Pregnancy Conception Calculator also measures and estimates the date of conception based on the expected due date of the pregnancy. To understand this better, the date of conception is the day on which a person's baby is conceived. The calculator also estimates a possible range of days during which sexual intercourse might result in conception, based on sperm being viable for 3-5 days within a woman's body.
First Trimester Ends (12 Weeks)
Body changes during pregnancy are quite common and normal. The first trimester starts on the first day of your last period and lasts until the 12th week. A lot of physiological and hormonal changes take place during this phase as the baby grows the fastest in this trimester. Starting from a fertilized egg, the baby’s bones, muscles, and organs form by the 12th week. The first trimester requires a variety of lab investigations and tests, which our skilled team of doctors at Motherhood is well versed with.
Second Trimester Ends (27 Weeks)
The second trimester includes the three middle months of your pregnancy, starting from week 13 till week 27.
