Dr. Suhaim Afsar is an experienced pediatrician and Neonatologist. He has worked in the Department of Paediatrics and Neonates in the United Kingdom & Bangalore handling various positions and departments. Dr. Suhaim Afsar completed his DNB pediatrics accredited to NBE Delhi and was selected for a prestigious international fellowship in Neonatology at Princess Anne Hospital UK. Dr. Suhaim Afsar has worked at University Hospital Southampton and Portsmouth hospitals in the UK. Dr. Suhaim Afsar has been trained in point-of-care ultrasound in managing the sickest of newborns from Oxford (UK) and remotely from Manitoba ( Canada).
Dr. Suhaim Afsar is trained, skilled and competent in handling premature babies from 22 weeks of gestation, total body cooling for the management of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, managing a wide range of neonatal conditions including extreme prematurity, persistent pulmonary hypertension, meconium aspiration syndrome, congenital and acquired sepsis, IUGR babies, congenital cardiac conditions, infants of substance-abusing mothers, medical management of neonatal surgical problems including diaphragmatic hernia, tracheoesophageal fistula, gastroschisis, and exomphalos.
