गर्भधारणेतील गुंतागुंतीबरोबरच उच्च रक्तदाब, प्रीक्लेम्पसिया, गर्भरपणातील मधुमेह, बाळामध्ये गुणसूत्रातील विकृती, मुदतपूर्व जन्माचा धोका वाढत असल्याचा तज्ज्ञांचा इशारा आहे. सध्या अनेक मुली करिअरमुळे उशीरा लग्न आणि गर्भधारणेची उशीरा योजना आखत असल्याने वय वाढत जातं. बऱ्याचदा महिला 40 व्या वयानंतर गर्भधारणेचा निर्णय घेतात.
नवी मुंबई। डॉक्टरों के मुताबिक, पिछले कुछ सालों में समय से पहले जन्म की दर बढ़ रही है और गर्भधारण की बढ़ती उम्र भी इसका एक कारण है। जो माताएं अपने उम्र 40 या बाद में गर्भधारण करती हैं, उनमें समय से पहले जन्म का जोखिम अधिक होता है। प्रीमेच्योरिटी निर्दिष्ट अवधि (37 सप्ताह) से पहले बच्चे का जन्म है। इन बच्चों का विकास पर्याप्त नहीं होता है और इनका वजन कम होता है, इसलिए पहले कुछ दिनों में इन शिशुओं की बहुत अधिक देखभाल करना आवश्यक होता है।

नवी मुंबई, ता. १६ : गेल्या काही वर्षांमध्ये प्री-मॅच्युअर बेबींचे (मुदतपूर्व बालके) जन्माला येण्याचे प्रमाण वाढले आहे.
नवी मुंबई: गेल्या काही वर्षांमध्ये मुदतपूर्व बालके जन्माला येण्याचे प्रमाण वाढत असून यामागे गर्भधारणेचे वाढते वय हे देखील एक कारण असल्याचे मत डॉक्टरांनी नोंदविले आहे. चाळीशी किंवा त्यानंतर गर्भधारणा झालेल्या मातांमध्ये मुदतपूर्व बालके जन्माला येण्याचा धोका जास्त असतो. मुदतपूर्व म्हणजे प्रसूतीच्या ठराविक कालावधी (३७ आठवडे) आधीच बाळ जन्माला येणे. या बाळांची पुरेशी वाढ न झाल्याचे यांचे वजन कमी असतेय त्यामुळे या बाळांची सुरुवातीचे काही दिवस अत्यंत काळजी घेणे गरजेचे असते.
