When you are pregnant, many things are running across your mind, thousands of question and millions of doubts. Will my delivery go okay? Will my baby be healthy? Is my child going to be normal? Etc. Hang in there mama, cause there are tests and scans that you can do to rule out a few of the doubts that you are having.
Nuchal translucency or NT scan is one of them. NT scan is used to predict the possibility of a chromosomal abnormality in your unborn child.
By the 20th week of pregnancy, the realization completely sinks in that you are going to be a mother! Congratulations for carrying your baby in your tummy safely for so long and creating a nurturing environment for your little one. But your responsibility does not end here. In fact, it is just getting started.
When you step into the third trimester of pregnancy, you are bound to feel everything at once, scared, excited, nervous, happy, etc. There will be millions of questions running in your mind and even more doubts. Hold on mama, because this is entirely normal. But if you want to know how much your baby has bloomed in all this time, there are scans that you can go for. One such scan is the growth scan.
As the due date approaches, your excitement to hold the little one in your hand hits rooftop. The tangible realization of this major milestone can be overwhelming. But at times many women don’t deliver on their due date. If you are one of them, don’t worry this is completely normal. But when this happens, you need to be extra cautious about your health and the health of your bundle of joy.
The sixth week of pregnancy is quite a milestone for you and your better half. Now your baby is grown to the size of a pea, the eyes and ears start developing, and the baby’s heart beats 100–160 times a minute. All this is indicated to you via some symptoms like morning sickness, mood swings, frequent urination and more, but to confirm that your pregnancy is healthy, a visit to your healthcare specialist is a must.
Early Pregnancy/Viability scan: an early pregnancy scan is a very important one as it will confirm the pregnancy and establish a due date. It is a transabdominal scan (done over the tummy) and is performed between 7-11 weeks of pregnancy. It also helps in confirmation of the number of embryos, the presence of heartbeat and detection of internal bleeding, if any.
