Overview
By God’s grace, I’ve had the privilege of working with mentors who have shaped my life, personally as well as professionally.
I completed my Masters in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai under Dr. Padmaja Samant. I owe my professional career to her and under her, of course, I learnt basics, but I also learnt, that God has given us the privilege as Gynaecologist to help women, and so we must do our best to treat them well. Not everybody has this privilege, and so we must not take it for granted.
I did my Fellowship under Professor Ibrahim Alkatout, director of Kiel school of Gynaecology Endoscopy, Germany. I had the privilege of working with Prof. Alkatout, assisting him in Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeries and doing good scientific research on Gynaecology Endoscopy. I regard him as my mentor in minimal invasive gynaecology surgery and under his mentorship, I’ve flourished academically. He opened my eyes to the pandemic of chronic pelvic pain, and the utility of Neuropelveology. Together we studied pelvic anatomy and physiology in depth, and hope to expand our horizons with neuropleveology.
I have also worked with Prof. Horace Roman and Dr. Benjamin Merlot at IFEM ENDO, France. Under their guidance, I received training in laparoscopic and robotic endometriosis surgery.
I believe, we have to do our best for our patients and always be available for them. This is the least we can do to comfort someone in disease
