Dr. Reshma Chillal

Dr. Reshma Chillal is a dedicated Paediatric Intensivist with several years of experience working in tertiary-level Paediatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs). She has served as a Senior Registrar in the PICU at Narayana Health City, Bengaluru, where she was extensively involved in the management of critically ill children, including post-operative surgical cases, post-operative cardiac patients, bone marrow transplant recipients, and liver and renal transplant patients.

She holds an MBBS, MD in Paediatrics, and a DrNB in Paediatric Critical Care, reflecting strong academic training and specialization in paediatric intensive care medicine.

Dr. Chillal has comprehensive expertise in managing severe sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), traumatic brain injury, complex post-operative cases, and ECMO-supported patients. Her core clinical strengths include advanced airway management, invasive and non-invasive ventilation strategies, haemodynamic optimisation, and paediatric renal replacement therapies.

She is deeply committed to evidence-based practice, multidisciplinary collaboration, and continuous quality improvement in critical care. With a strong academic orientation, she has actively contributed to research, case reports, and conference presentations, particularly in areas such as dengue-related complications, neonatal sepsis, and innovations in paediatric critical care.

Dr. Chillal is also passionate about teaching, simulation-based training, and mentoring junior doctors and nursing staff, contributing to capacity building and excellence in paediatric critical care services.
