Dr. Roopesh N is an accomplished Gynaecologic Onco-Surgeon with specialised expertise in gynaecological oncology, peritoneal oncology, advanced minimally invasive surgery and endometriosis excision surgery. His clinical work includes the evaluation and surgical management of gynaecological cancers, complex ovarian cancer surgery, laparoscopic and robotic procedures, and treatment of selected peritoneal surface malignancies.
He completed his MBBS and MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, followed by a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Gynecological Oncology at AIMS, Kochi. His advanced training includes fellowships and clinical exposure in India and internationally, including the European School of Peritoneal Surface Oncology Fellowship in Italy and Spain, PIPAC training at National University Hospital, Singapore, clinical fellowship training at Mie University, Japan, and research experience as a Senior Research Fellow at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr. Roopesh has a focused interest in ovarian cancer and advanced cytoreductive surgery. His work in peritoneal oncology includes cytoreductive procedures and intraperitoneal chemotherapy approaches such as HIPEC, PIPAC, EPIC and NIPEC, where clinically appropriate.
His surgical practice also includes minimally invasive gynaecologic oncology, robotic surgery and endometriosis excision surgery. Treatment planning is individualised according to the diagnosis, extent of disease, overall health, reproductive considerations and the most appropriate surgical approach.
Dr. Roopesh has received the European School of Peritoneal Surface Oncology Fellowship and has undertaken advanced international training in peritoneal surface oncology. His clinical and academic interests include improving surgical approaches for ovarian and other gynaecological cancers.
He has also contributed to innovation in women’s cancer care through work on novel devices related to cervical cancer detection and ovarian cancer surgery.

Dr. Roopesh has participated in clinical research, ongoing studies, professional meetings and academic programmes related to gynaecological oncology. He has published articles in national and international journals and has contributed to health education through conferences, CMEs, workshops, webinars, public awareness programmes and media discussions on gynaecological cancers.
His academic recognitions include Best Paper and Best Poster awards at national conferences and First Prize in the quiz at AGOICON 2013. He has also received recognition for his contribution to women’s health, cancer prevention and gynaecological oncology.
He was felicitated with the Sri Vani Star by his alumnus, Sri Vani Vidya Kendra, in recognition of his contribution to society in the field of Gynaecologic Oncology.
