Dr Sakshi Yadav is a
Fetal Medicine Specialist and Clinical Geneticist at Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital, Chandigarh. She specialises in advanced prenatal ultrasound, genetic counselling, and the evaluation and management of genetic conditions.
She completed her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from PGIMS, Rohtak, followed by a DM in Medical Genetics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Driven by her interest in fetal medicine, she pursued a fellowship in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound under the guidance of Dr Suresh at MEDISCAN, Chennai.
Clinical Expertise:
Dr Sakshi is trained in a comprehensive range of pregnancy-related ultrasound examinations, including NT/NB scans, Level II fetal anomaly scans, fetal echocardiography, fetal growth assessment, and fetal Doppler studies.
Her expertise in clinical genetics includes
genetic counselling and evaluation for recurrent pregnancy loss, infertility, family history of genetic disorders, previous pregnancies affected by genetic conditions, and suspected fetal congenital anomalies. She also provides guidance regarding medication exposure and suspected infections during pregnancy, including TORCH infections, as well as hereditary cancer risk assessment.
With specialised knowledge of genetic testing and interpretation of results, she helps individuals and families understand genetic risks, explore appropriate investigations, and make informed decisions regarding reproductive and pregnancy care.
Her special interests include
reproductive genetics and cancer genetics, with an emphasis on personalised counselling and evidence-based care.
