A recent ETV Bharat health feature highlighted why urinary tract infections may become more common among Indian women during the monsoon due to humidity, damp clothing, dehydration, poor hygiene, and delayed urination. Dr. Kusum Lata, Senior Consultant – Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Motherhood Hospitals, Gurgaon, explained that women should stay hydrated, avoid holding urine for long hours, change out of wet clothes quickly, maintain intimate hygiene, and seek timely medical care for symptoms such as burning urination, frequent urination, lower abdominal pain, fever, or back pain.
