A recent Marathi health feature highlighted the increased risk of urinary tract infections among women during summer. Dr. Kaisherin Khan, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Motherhood Hospitals, Kharadi, Pune, explained that habits such as holding urine for long periods, staying in wet clothes after swimming, dehydration, and poor hygiene can increase UTI risk, while stressing timely medical consultation if symptoms like burning urination, frequent urination, lower abdominal pain, fever, or back pain appear.
