A recent ETV Bharat health feature highlighted why severe menstrual pain should not be considered normal, especially among Gen Z women. Dr. Mansi Sharma, Consultant – Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Motherhood Hospitals, Kharadi, Pune, explained that intense period pain affecting college, work, daily activities, or causing vomiting, dizziness, fainting, heavy bleeding, or extreme fatigue may indicate underlying conditions such as endometriosis, PMOS, adenomyosis, fibroids, pelvic infections, or hormonal imbalance, stressing the need for timely medical consultation.
