Dr. Deepti Mittal

Dr. Deepti Mittal earned her MBBS degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. She completed her Doctor of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynecology) from the apex institute of the country, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS, New Delhi). After developing a keen interest in Fetal Medicine during her residency, she pursued her Fellowship in Fetal Medicine under the guidance of Dr. Anita Kaul (a world-renowned expert and the country’s pioneer in the field of Fetal Medicine). She is currently practicing at Motherhood Hospital, Kharadi, Pune

Dr. Deepti is uniquely trained to take care of the ‘unborn’. She is competent in performing obstetric scans- including the first-trimester scan, anomaly scan, and monitoring of fetal growth and Dopplers. Dr. Deepti believes in early and timely diagnosis of fetal anomalies and giving a fair chance to the unborn fetus by offering management options in the best interest of the fetus and the expecting parents.

Given her Obstetric training, she is versed in identifying high-risk pregnancies and in providing specialised care for the fetus while keeping maternal considerations in perspective.

She is equipped to deal with familial genetic disorders and provide pre-conceptional and prenatal counselling as well as a diagnosis for the same. Dr. Deepti is specially trained in multiple pregnancy scans and surveillance of complications in twin pregnancies, Dichorionic and Monochorionic twin pregnancies.

She adheres to the international standards of fetal imaging and practices evidence-based medicine for management. Dr. Deepti works in close coordination with the treating Obstetrician, Neonatologist, and Pediatric surgeon and helps manage pregnancy in the best way possible for the mother, while especially keeping in mind the interests of her unborn baby.

Her areas of special interest include first-trimester screening and first-trimester diagnosis of fetal anomalies, fetal surveillance in high-risk pregnancies (maternal Pre-eclampsia, Gestational Diabetes, infections in pregnancy, autoimmune disorders), fetal neurosonography, and multiple pregnancies.
