It helps to take things one step at a time, lean on your partner, family and friends, and get your home and routine ready well before the babies arrive. Keeping a note of your questions and sharing them with your care team at each visit can also make the months ahead feel far more manageable.

Triplet pregnancy is a genuinely complex undertaking for your body, and care is structured around considerably closer monitoring than even a twin pregnancy would need. Triplet pregnancy scan appointments happen more frequently, since three babies each need individual growth tracking rather than a single combined assessment covering all three. Because carrying three babies places significant demand on your body, rest and nutrition become an especially important part of your care plan.

Are You Visiting a Doctor?

A woman pregnant with triplets should consult their doctor every two weeks until the foetuses reach 24 weeks. After that, once a week visit until the delivery is fine.

Regular visits give your doctor the chance to catch any changes early and adjust your care plan as your pregnancy progresses. If you notice anything unusual between appointments, do not wait for the next scheduled visit. Contact your doctor straight away so that it can be looked at promptly.
